Group Three Presentation: A Research Paper on Freud in Religious
Studies: how to find academic and scholarly information.

	ABSTRACT: For this presentation, the class will be introduced
	to Sigmund Freud in the form of brief video footage, and
	then we will proceed to demonstrate how to find out more
	on Freud and religion in an academic research library and
	online. We will use the AV equipment in 214 Coates for this
	presentation, along with this document posted on both the
	World Wide Web via HTTP and a GOPHER infoserver and document
	delivery system (Mozilla Firefox required) this document
	will serve as a "pointer" to the various resources locally
	available to academic and scholarly research on the topic
	presented.  We will also use the document reader to display
	parts of the Daniel L. Pals text relevant to this presentation.

	We will also be using the LSU Libraries Subject Guide for
	Religious Studies, the online public access catalog, indexes
	and databases for journal articles and abstracts. We will
	also demonstrate methods and techniques for searching and
	saving information about what we are searching for.  The
	class will be encouraged to participate by asking questions
	concerning searching methods and resources.

		2. Go to the LSU Libraries Home page.

			a. For certainty, use the "Advanced Search"

			b. Use the "back" button to go back.

				1. To keep all search information
				acessible for later review.

				2. You can select items and save
				them for later to print or email
				to yourself.

				1. Otherwise, you will lose all
				previous information and searches.
