Hayley Solomon (the brains) Robert Bigelow ("the mouth") ABSTRACT: For this presentation, the class will be introduced to Sigmund Freud in the form of brief video footage, and then we will proceed to demonstrate how to find out more on Freud and religion in an academic research library and online. We will use the AV equipment in 214 Coates for this presentation, along with this document posted on both the World Wide Web via HTTP and a GOPHER infoserver and document delivery system (Mozilla Firefox required) this document will serve as a "pointer" to the various resources locally available to academic and scholarly research on the topic presented. We will also use the document reader to display parts of the Daniel L. Pals text relevant to this presentation. We will also be using the LSU Libraries Subject Guide for Religious Studies, the online public access catalog, indexes and databases for journal articles and abstracts. We will also demonstrate methods and techniques for searching and saving information about what we are searching for. The class will be encouraged to participate by asking questions concerning searching methods and resources.
